Weymouth Windsurfing Weekend 2010 is happening this October Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd for a fun, tuition packed two days of sailing...

It is that time of year again and we have fixed the date for the Weymouth trip.

The Weymouth trip is a weekend event that starts Friday 1st October in the evening and finishes on Sunday 3rd October in the afternoon.

The Windsurfing:
Portland Harbour is the site for the 2012 Olympics. Sheltered by the outer Harbour walls the area we use offers fantastic windsurfing on relatively flat water. It is a really good venue for intermediates and advanced windsurfers. The trip is open to people who are over 18 years old and can use their harness and have their own equipment. On Saturday and Sunday we offer coaching clinics for levels Intermediate to Advanced. So this weekend is ideal for those wishing to get into the footstraps and get going faster; learn to waterstart and to carve gybe. As always we'll spend some time on skills for sailing upwind and polishing those tacks. We will be also offering top tips on rigging and anything else that might be of interest to our members.

The Apres Surf:
Our hotel is located a short walk from Brewers Quays offering a host of pubs and eateries in a scenic fishing harbour environment. Further afield is the action packed party resort of Weymouth. Though I confess few of us have managed the club scene in recent years!!! (ha ha) On Saturday night we will all go out to a restaurant to celebrate our windsurfing achievements...

The Hotel:
Our hotel is perfectly located just a few minutes drive from the windsurfing beach which is at the beginning of the Portand Road. It has enough off road parking to fit us all in which is great. The hotel is very accommodating and has been putting us up for the last 4 years. They pretty much give us the run of the place - including the bar in the evening.

This year we have space for 12 people - there is only safety cover for those attending the clinics.

The costs will be as follows:

Hotel:
£35 per night based on two or three sharing.
£40 per night for the single (only 1 available)
£40 per night for single occupancy of the small double room (only 1 available)

The Coaching Clinics:
£90 - this includes all coaching Saturday and Sunday and safety cover.

Attached is a booking form for completion to reserve a place. Please note your place is not confirmed until we have received payment. Full payment must be received by 10 September.

We are looking forward to seeing you all again...

best regards Sam & Matt
