Then hiring equipment will give you time on the water to practice your skills and also allow you to become familiar with current modern equipment, which, effectively allows you to demo before you buy.
 
Equipment Hire
Equipment hire with Aqua Sports is the perfect way to get on the water without the hassle of transporting, or expense of buying, your own equipment.

To hire any of the equipment listed below you need to be recognised as having attained a beginner standard certificate from a recognised body in the sport of choice. Valid certificates include those from the RYA, BCU or similar international organisation. If you have your own equipment you can simply pay for a day launch or perhaps consider membership.

Hire Cards
Our Hire Card Purchase Scheme is a 'pre-paid' hire time system that enables the user to get more time on the water for less cost.

Hire cards cost £50 but if used the right way they can provide £75 worth of hire - this equates to a massive 50% extra free time on the water. Each hire card contains £50 in £1 units.

The hirer pays for the card and then uses the money on the card towards hire time on the water. When using the card, hirers get 1/2 an hour free for every hour that they go out. So for example the hirer goes out sailing for 1.5 hours; on return they will get £18* units taken from the hire card (assuming you have your own buoyancy aid and wetsuit).

The thing to bear in mind is that the free extra 1/2 an hour must be taken on the same day - it cannot be carried over to a different day. But if you are here for the day you can sail for 3 hours and only pay for two.

  • the hire card can be used for hire of all windsurfing, dinghy and kayak/canoeing equipment (excludes instruction).
