Equipment hire with Aqua Sports is the perfect way to get on the water without the hassle of transporting, or expense of buying, your own equipment.

To hire any of the equipment listed below you need to be recognised as having attained a beginner standard certificate from a recognised body in the sport of choice. Valid certificates include those from the RYA, BCU or similar international organisation. If you have your own equipment you can simply pay for a day launch or perhaps consider membership.

Hire cards cost £50 and if used the right way they can provide £75 worth of hire - this equates to a massive 50% extra free time on the water. Each hire card contains £50 in £1 units.

The hirer pays for the card and then uses the money on the card towards hire time on the water. When using the card, hirers get 1/2 an hour free for every hour that they go out as follows:

• Hire for 1 hour - you pay the hourly rate
• Hire for 1.5 hours - you pay the hourly rate
• Hire for 2 hours - you pay for 1.5 hours
• Hire for 2.5 hours - you pay for 2 hours
• Hire for 3 hours - you pay for 2 hours. 

The thing to bear in mind is that the free extra 1/2 an hour must be taken on the same day - it cannot be carried over to a different day.
