• Duration: a one-day course run on the Saturday and is 5 hours in duration.
• Who is it for? this is aimed at complete beginners who want to try dinghy sailing.
• Course aims: to provide you with a basic understanding of rigging and enable you to sail safely around a triangular course.
• Qualifications: no qualifications for the 1 day course - convert to the two day course and an RYA logbook and certificate is awarded on completion of the 2 day course.
• Options on completion: those that opt to do the second day then have the option to hire equipment for personal sailing and improving sessions.
• What's included: all equipment provided (dinghy, wetsuit, buoyancy aid).

This introduction to dinghy sailing - RYA Start Dinghy Sailing Course - has been created specifically for those of you that are new to the sport of dinghy sailing. The course is designed to get you on the water using modern, single-handed dinghies, and using RYA coaching techniques.

• Duration: a two-day learn to sail course (10 hours in total broken down into two 5 hour sessions), run every weekend, covering sailing in single-handers and crewed dinghies.
• Who is it for? designed for complete beginners.
• Course aims: to provide you with a variety of skills and theory to enable you to sail competently around a triangular course. Plenty of time is spent helming your boat under the careful guidance of our instructors.
• Qualifications: an RYA logbook and certificate is awarded on completion of the course.
• Options on completion: on completion of this course, equipment can be hired for personal sailing and improving sessions.
• Weekday Courses: can't do weekends? This course can be run as a series of drop-in clinics during the week (term-time only, see prices below).
• Personal tuition: prefer to learn alone at your own pace? This course can be run one-on-one during the week in a series of sessions (see prices below).
